ISMA / I.D.A. Announce New
Sales Training Partnership

The Industrial Distributor's Association (I.D.A.) and the Industrial Supply Manufacturers Association (ISMA) today jointly announced the beginning of a new sales training partnership between the two associations and The DaCo Corporation of Grand Rapids, MI. The multi-year program will provide member companies with seminars, certification programs, audio self-study and videotape training materials created by Dave Kahle, president of DaCo.

The partnership will provide a variety of industry-specific training resources designed to meet the budgets and time limitations of all member companies. "We're extremely pleased to announce this partnership," Gary Buffington, I.D.A. executive director said. "Dave Kahle is the sales guru for the distribution channel, and the wide variety of resources available through DaCo mean that all our member companies can take advantage of this program to meet one of their most pressing needs - sales training for all levels of salespeople, from brand new to the most experienced."

The program will begin with a series of seminars in the fall of this year, with an expanded offering in 2002. Member companies will be receiving detailed information packets at the ISMA/I.D.A. Spring Convention in Hawaii, and by mail during this summer.

The partnership is a result of more than a year's work on the part of joint ISMA/I.D.A Sales Training Task Force. A number of sales training organizations were investigated and asked to submit proposals. Out of the larger group, three were invited to meet with the combined committees, and DaCo was selected.
