Sales Certification Program Announced
Dave Kahle, president of The DaCo Corporation, announced that his firm has been appointed one of only two sales training firms in the country to offer sales certifications from Sales & Marketing Executives International. SME is the worldwide association of sales and marketing management. It has chapters throughout the world, composed of top executives dedicated to sales and marketing excellence. The association has created three professional certifications for sales and marketing people -
- Certified Sales Executive (CSE©) - for sales managers and top executives.
- Certified Marketing Executive (CME©) -- for marketing managers and top executives.
- Certified Professional Salesperson (SCPS©) - for sales reps and other professionals.
Certification requires accumulating a total of 35 points from various related professional activities as well as passing a certification examination. People earning the coveted certifications receive a special pin, a framed certificate, and authorization to use the designation on all official letterhead and business cards. According to Kahle, "This may the only internationally recognized professional sales certification program available. The sales profession has long needed some mechanism to identify the dedicated, professional salesperson. This is it." For sales people, acquiring certification clearly signals to customers that the salesperson is a professional who abides by higher ethics and principles, and indicates that the salesperson has met the profession's highest standards of knowledge and experience.
