“Then David gave to his son Solomon the plan of the porch of the temple, its buildings, its storehouses, its upper rooms, its inner rooms and the room for the mercy seat; and the plan of all that he had in mind, for the courts of the house of the LORD, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the storehouses of the house of God and for the storehouses of the dedicated things.” (1 Chronicles 28:11-12)
“All this,” said David, “the LORD made me understand in writing by His hand upon me, all the details of this pattern.” (1 Chronicles 28:19)
Albert Einstein once said, “I want to know God’s thoughts – the rest are mere details.” He also recognized that there was an unexplainable part of the wisdom development process. Here is how he explains how it works in his own words.
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come close to the conclusion that the gift of imagination has meant more to me than any talent for absorbing absolute knowledge. All great achievements of science must start from intuitive knowledge. I believe in intuition and inspiration…. At times I feel certain I am right while not knowing the reason.” “Imagination is more important than knowledge”
Nikola Tesla was one of the most amazing engineers of the 20th century. He invented the power systems that we all use today based on the concept of Alternating Current. This concept came to him in a vision in February 1892. The result of his revelation has fueled the development of all mankind for that last 100 years.
Look at the emphasis the Bible places on FLOW.
Each of the verses below describes a fountain, a river, that flows, and this Fountain is the River of the Holy Spirit, that brings life to everything that is touched by it. Creativity is the result of experiencing flow.
- He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, from his innermost being will FLOW rivers of living water. But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (Jn. 7:38-39).
- For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, The fountain of living waters, To hew for themselves cisterns, Broken cisterns that can hold no water (Jer 2:13).
- Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb (Rev. 22:1). This is the Spirit of God, and it is flowing, and everything it touches lives (Rev. 22:2).
Biblical Example: Bezalel
Bezalel was a man that Lord chose to build the Tabernacle. Exodus 31:2-5 states that several unique gifts of the Spirit were given to him to do this job.
“See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.
The wisdom given to Bezalel and others included skills in Design, Metallurgy, Carpentry, Chemistry, and Jewelry. I see many of the engineering disciplines listed here. This further reinforces that God’s wisdom is not limited to spiritual topics.
Flow is one of the four keys to hearing God’s voice
We make “tuning to flow” one of the four keys to hearing God’s voice. Let’s apply flow and the anointing of the Holy Spirit to our businesses and see God’s creativity turn us into business leaders who solve the problems society faces.
1. Stillness: Become quiet inwardly
2. Vision: Behold Jesus with you
3. Spontaneity: Tune to flow
4. Journaling: Record the flowing thoughts, pictures, and emotions
Hearing God’s voice is as simple as quieting yourself down, fixing your eyes on Jesus, tuning to flow and writing. The KEY is the synergy created as you use ALL four together!
An anointed Church transforms the world!
We need the Church to be anointed and alive with the power, wisdom and healing touch of God! We need this revival. The world needs it. The nations need it. We can offer it if we can explain simply and clearly how it occurs and invite people into it.
